Anonymous: So I'm a girl, 17, and I've always identified as straight...but I'm starting to question that a little--I feel more "turned on" by girls than I ever have by a guy. But obviously sexual orientation isn't just about sex, and I cannot see myself in a romantic relationship with a girl--just with a guy. I don't see anything wrong with it--I have a lot of lesbian friends in relationships, but I personally cant see myself in one...I'm just kinda confused....help?

Well first off, sexual orientation doesn’t have to fit strictly into boxes like ‘straight’ or ‘gay’ or ‘bisexual’, so whatever you’re feeling, you shouldn’t feel worried about it.

Sexuality and romantic attraction are sometimes very separate things, so it could be that you are bisexual (or something similar) and heteroromantic (only romantically attracted to members of the opposite sex).

Basically, the best advice I can give you is to experiment. I always had my suspicions that I was bisexual (and even identified as bisexual for years) but it wasn’t until I was in a relationship with a girl that I really became confident with that definition.

If you’d like any more help, feel free to message me on my personal blog here.

Last night, I came out as bisexual to my friends.
Even though they’re all very accepting, I was still nervous.
However, all they did was hug me, tell me I’m awesome, and promise to love me no matter what.

Check out Ray-Ban’s new ad in GQ Magazine! Pretty awesome!

FACT: It is not okay for straight women to pretend to be lesbians for attention

or bisexuals.

I’m looking at you, year 9/10s. It’s not cute and it’s not funny. It’s annoying.

They killed themselves after being bullied for being gay. It’s not okay. They didn’t deserve that end.
